The internationally-renowned John C. Campbell Folk School of Brasstown, N. C. is a Festival Co-sponsor. A longtime friend of our festival, the 80-year-old school has been a major sponsor of Bear on the Square for the past six years. The folk school is a perfect fit for this role, since throughout its long history, it has promoted the Southern Appalachia by offering instruction in performing arts, agriculture and crafts rooted in the traditions of this region and other cultures of the world.
