The Crimson Moon is known as "The Southeast's Most Intimate Music Venue," whose c.1848 ‘general store’ concert hall hosts nationally and regionally touring acoustic acts, as well as the best of local talent most every evening. In addition, there are free Open Mics, Old-Time Jams, Classy Karaoke, as well as a new monthly Song Writers Circle.
‘The Moon’s’ menu is full service and eclectic, with a core of both classic and ‘with a twist’ southern cuisine, as well as some internationally inspired soups, deserts, and features created by Chef Matias Ruiz. A wide selection of beer and wine by the glass or bottle is available as well as a long list of handcrafted cocktails and organic specialty coffee drinks.
There are also plenty of options for hosting private events, both in the first floor concert hall, and coffee house, as well as in the ‘Half Moon Saloon’ on the second floor. The Saloon offers a variety of more intimate seating options, including the best view of the Historic Public Square on its fresh air porch. For sports fans, there’s also hi-def TV in the Saloon - but the downstairs is all about music - most every evening, and weekend afternoons.
The Crimson Moon opened its doors in October of 2001 in the Parker-Nix Storehouse, located on Dahlonega’s Historic Public Square, where folks have been playing music for over 100 years. In the 15 years since, ‘The Moon’ has morphed from an art gallery and coffee house into a nationally recognized ‘destination point’ listening venue, one of Dahlonega’s many ‘golden’ attractions – where the creative spirit shines, and magical memories are made!
