Musical Licks, Slips and Giggles...

Learn how musicians change melodies to make it fun and interesting for playing and listening.

This will include singing, musical lead embellishments and back up tricks for guitar and mandolin.   Patsy Kline and Jim Pittman will share musical renditions and stories about how historical figures in traditional music have characterized their songs with certain styles.

Ending it all with a BIG sing-a-long finale will make this session fun for all.

Jim, a sought-after lead and rhythm guitarist, has studied with some of the world’s finest flat pickers and has been influenced by the styles of Doc Watson and Norman Blake. Patsy is an experienced mandolin performer and a certified Pete Wernick instructor who has led traditional jamming camps and mandolin workshops in several states.
