Chris Enghauser is one of the premier bassists in Georgia today. After earning a couple of degrees in music from George Mason University and the University of Georgia, Chris has kept busy playing and recording with an impressive list of professional musicians in a wide variety of music genres. Chris also keeps a busy teaching schedule as the adjunct professor of double bass at Georgia College in Milledgeville, director of bands at Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School, bass instructor at UGA's Community Music School and Instructor for UGA's Jazz Bass studies program. He has also been involved in UGA's Jazz Festival, Summer Music Camp, and Bass Symposium.
Chris has tour throughout North America with Broadway Musical productions of "A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline", "Anything Goes", and "Pump Boys and Dinettes." Chris is also the principal bassist for Toccoa's Symphony Orchestra, and a member of Macon's Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed in the Gainesville, Columbus and Augusta Symphonies.
Chris along with Athens fiddler David Blackmon started the popular string band Curley Maple, and then the Kenney-Blackmon String Band that maintains an active performing and recording schedule.
